April Favourites!

April 28, 2013

Yup it's time for another monthly favourites, to me this month went neither fast nor slow it just went by in the regular monthly speed... if that made any sense... Anyways let's get right into my favourites because I will probably be talking a lot like usual.

Essie 'Lilacism"
If you have read my beauty haul post then this nail polish will be familiar to you. It is in my monthly favourites because it is the perfect pastel purple which I have been looking for! Essie never disappoints when it comes to pastel polishes so I am very pleased with this nail polish!

Stila 'Kitten'
I have been loving my Stila eyeshadow duo in the shade 'kitten' for the days that my eyes look a little dull. These two colours are very brightening for the eyes and I have been in need of that this whole month.

American Apparel 'Denim circle skirt'
This should be no surprise to any of you that this is a favourite of mine, I love everything about this skirt. The fit, the shade of denim, the button/zipper, just anything that has to do with this skirt I love. If you're ever near an American Apparel store I highly suggest you try on any of their circle skirts because there is no doubt in my mind that you won't love it.

Bioderma 'Hydrabio serum'
When I purchased my Bioderma makeup remover (best thing in the world by the way) they were having a deal that if you bought any Bioderma product, they would give you a little makeup bag full of samples. This is one of them, it made my face feel so incredibly soft and smooth, another plus was that I didn't break out from it. I have sadly run out of this serum, and I don't think I am going to repurchase it right away but maybe somewhere in the future.

Lush 'Fresh Farmacy face soap'
This is another sampler I tried (as you can see from the nasty little bar of soap on the right), I was very skeptical at first because I had never tried a bar of soap for my face and I didn't know how that would work. After getting over that I really loved the soap, it toned down the redness in my face and made my skin super soft. I've been eating a lot of unhealthy food recently and I think this soap has something to do with me getting barely any breakouts. If you're in the market for a new face wash, I suggest you march on over to Lush and try out this one!

Fresh SUGAR 'Coral'
First off I am going to say that I love all of the SUGAR lip balms by Fresh, they're very moisturizing and smell like lemons which I surprisingly don't mind. I've been loving this coral shade this month to give a nice pop of colour to my face for the warmer weather. (p.s. the colour isn't as bright as the camera is making it to be)

Paper Towns by John Green
After about a month and a half I have finally finished this book (had to read different books for school), I didn't enjoy this book too much until the last half of it when things really started to pick up. I don't think I can really consider it a favourite because I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. But I am including it in here because it is the only book I read this month, so I just thought it should be mentioned.

A few weeks ago my friend was talking about how she loved banana chips so much so when I saw them at the grocery store I thought that I would try them out. She was talking about the banana chips that I was scared to try, I think that they are the ones that are less sugary and a bit more soft and chewy. I am glad that I chose these ones though, they are super sweet and the perfect amount of crunch for anytime you're looking for a nice snack.

Be a Bombshell 'Sweet Cheeks'
I got this blush in either this months glam bag and have been using it almost every day since. It is perfect for an everyday colour because the shimmer in it gives you a very subtle glow. I'm not sure what else to say about this blush except that I really like it haha.

Woo my last favourite, this was also included in my beauty haul a couple weeks ago. I had boughten the pack of 3 mini dry shampoos and loved them so much that I bought a full size in the voluminzing... kind? It does give my hair a ton of volume while still making it look non-greasy which I love. The other 3 mini ones smell really good too, I think that when I run out of the tropical scent I am going to buy the full size because it smells so heavenly.

Well I guess we're done here, thank you for joining me for my second monthly favourites I hope to be bringing you another one next month :)

  1. Great post! ^_^

Paper Towns is actually my favourite John Green book, and one of my all-time favourite reads. It's interesting how people can have such different opinions on books. :) xx
